Nothing About Us, Without Us
The right to full, equal participation
People living with a dementia are experts in their own experience.
Too often, systems speak about or for people living with a dementia - or worse, they erase them entirely.
Their voices, choices and perspectives must guide how we design, teach, and deliver dementia-related work.
‘Nothing About Us, Without Us’ is a phrase that serves as a reminder to centre lived experience as knowledge: not something to interpret or manage, but to respect, include and learn from.
Below you will find a selection of networks, organisations and individuals who are amplifying and centreing the voices of people living with a dementia.
