Facilitation

“I aim to create spaces where people of all ages and backgrounds can connect, share stories, and be themselves. Flexibility is key - making sure everyone feels valued and included regardless of strengths or needs.”

Emily is a Creative Facilitator with over ten years’ experience designing and delivering arts projects for people of all ages - she combines a range of art forms to deliver engaging and accessible workshops.

As a working-class practitioner, Emily is committed to breaking down barriers to creative participation, ensuring that everyone has the right to express themselves regardless of background, experience, or ability.

Over the last seven years, Emily has specialised in arts and dementia working with care homes, housing providers, memory hubs and community centres.

Her creative sessions explore universal themes such as Home, Nature, Neighbourhoods, and Celebrations, using age—appropriate activities and art forms such as music, sensory storytelling, collage and movement. Workshops are shaped by participants’ abilities with activities adapted to individual skills and interests - offering both verbal and non-verbal forms of expression.

This strengths-based approach supports participants and their companions in maintaining identity and choice, reframing the dementia journey as one of creativity, connection, and possibility.
